A Clayton County man who won $1 million in August didn’t realize he was rich until he found a forgotten Powerball ticket tucked into the console of his truck and turned it in.
Ramon Rodriguez, of Rex, Georgia, matched five of six numbers from the August 8 Powerball drawing, winning a $1 million prize.
“It’s been in my truck for two months,” said Rodriguez. After finding it again, “I went to the computer and looked at the numbers,” Rodriguez said. “I said, ‘This can’t be right!’ I looked twice.” The lucky winner said he woke up his wife and daughter to share the good news.
Rodriguez, the father of two adult children with his wife, Rosa, selected family birthdays as his numbers.
