Arizona set to extend lottery 25 more years

Arizona is likely to have a state lottery for the next 25 years. Lawmakers have sent the Governor a bill to create a new lottery that would begin in mid-2012, when the current game expires. Gov. Jan Brewer's state budget plan relies on the lottery's continuation. Senate bill 1004, which contains the lottery measure, also deals with issues such as retirement and pension funds.
