Separate winning tickets sold in Hampton & Lisbon remain unclaimed as deadline nears
New Hampshire Lottery officials are urging players to look through their old tickets, as two $10,000 Powerball winning tickets remain unclaimed and are about to expire. The winning Powerball tickets, purchased on January 9, 2010 and January 23, need to be claimed or the prize money will expire.
“According to lottery rules, any unclaimed winning Powerball tickets expire a year after the draw date,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director of the Lottery. “We’re hoping that whoever bought the tickets for those drawings last January still have them as we’d love to award the prizes!”
The January 9 ticket was sold at the Hess Store on 639 Lafayette Road in Hampton and the January 23 ticket was sold at Du Ez In on North Main Street in Lisbon.
Any player unsure if their ticket is a winner can bring it to any of the 1,200 New Hampshire Lottery retailers, where it can be checked electronically by the retailer’s online terminal. The winner must claim their prize at Lottery Headquarters in Concord before 4:00 p.m. on the day of the ticket’s expiration.
