The grand prize is now an estimated $250 million for Wednesday night’s drawing!
New Hampshire Lottery players have more than 250 million reasons to get into the game, as the Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing is worth an estimated $250 million. This grand prize is the largest Powerball jackpot of 2012.
“There’s a noticeable excitement around the state as we inch closer to Wednesday night’s drawing,” said New Hampshire Lottery’s Executive Director, Charlie McIntyre. “With a jackpot this high, we’re seeing folks that normally don’t play getting in the game, lots of talk around the water cooler as to how someone would spend this money and many co-workers throwing in a dollar or two into the office pool to buy larger amounts of tickets.”
The Powerball jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on December 24 in Maryland. Wednesday will be the 13th consecutive drawing.
“New Hampshire has been very lucky with nine past Powerball jackpot winners,” McIntyre added. “We’re hoping that Wednesday night’s lucky numbers produce the tenth grand prize winner from the Granite State.”
Powerball is drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11 p.m., is offered at more than 1,250 lottery locations statewide.
