Five people who've already won $1,000 from New Hampshire’s $20 Set for Life instant scratch tickets went for the big prize on September 23.
In front of the crowd at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, the five each picked and opened an envelope with additional prizes.
Amanda Tetlow, of Lincoln, New Hampshire, was the lucky grand prize winner at the Set for Life drawing at Sunday's Sylvania 300 at the Speedway in Loudon. Tetlow had the option of taking a one-time lump sum of $500,000 or playing for $100,000 each year for the rest of her life. She chose the guaranteed one-time payment.
Tetlow says she'll likely buy a new car, but other than that, hasn't figured out what to do with her winnings. She picked up her check on Monday, which also happened to be her birthday.
Four other people also won lump sums in Sunday's drawings, ranging from $25,000 to $100,000: Scott Minor of Gilford won $25,000; Trudi Powell of Newport won $50,000; Michael Marinaro of Portland, ME won $75,000 and Gerard Cook of Derry won $100,000!
